Admin Officer based at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court
* Full time in the office
* Monday to Friday - 9am - 5:00pm
* Temporary assignment contract until 31st March 2025, likely to be extended due to business requirements
Role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Administration Officer at Huddersfield Magistrates Court with our client, The Ministry of Justice. The role will include working as part of a flexible team in a back-office environment and will be responsible for the overall running of the courts.
Responsibilities include:
* Administration of Court applications, processes, and Orders.
* Use of Excel and Outlook, E-mail handling and telephone enquiries.
* Public facing Counter duties with public and stakeholders.
* Court clerking - going into Court, using recording technology - use of Teams and Cloud Video Platform IT.
* Working closely with the Judiciary.
Skills and Experience required:
* Great communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
* Able to work at pace.
* Able to multitask.
* Strong admin ability.
* IT literate, use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
