You will work closely with a team of Social Workers, supporting with a variety of tasks involving databases, as well as communicating with other professionals and sometimes the family with whom the Social Worker is directly supporting.
Your role and responsibilities
You will:
* Support and encourage colleagues to meet targets.
* Respond to statutory requests for information within set timescales, involving trawling databases and preparing responses for the manager.
* Help to drive quality assurance by supporting the team with the case management system.
* Proactively develop systems which will support and complement the social work team.
You will need:
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
* Skilled communicator who can positively encourage team performance.
* Confidence in using databases.
* Ability to manage workload effectively.
The team is responsible for undertaking social work assessments, S47 investigations and supporting families where a child is in need or there is a child protection plan. The team works directly with children and families who present a range of complex needs.
