As part of the National CYPIC hub in the Scottish Government you will be working within the Data, Performance and Research team in Education Scotland (ES). Our teams work together providing a joined up governance and support structure for our CYPIC placements, with the shared purpose of providing high quality improvement support where it can have the greatest impact for our education workforce and help get the best possible outcomes for our learners. As part of a small and dynamic team of Senior CYPIC Improvement Advisors you will work in partnership with Education Scotland, to help embed the use of Quality Improvement Science (QI) in Education. You will lead on work to build QI capacity within Education Scotland to help address priority areas for improvement, build and strengthen connections around the application of the method. You will also support and coach people to understand and create the conditions needed for sustainable improvement to happen. You will provide professional leadership and quality assurance in the design and delivery of national quality Improvement Programmes, including expansion of the national writing programme. Responsibilities Driving the partnership and collaboration between the CYPIC Hub and Education Scotland, building strong relationships and developing a working structure and delivery plan that supports joint delivery of QI objectives. Working with Education Scotland to build wider organisational capacity and capability in applying quality improvement science so that the method can be used with efficacy. This includes leading the planning of this work and providing advice, training and mentoring support. Lead on strategy, planning and delivery of National CYPIC QI programmes in Education. This includes senior engagement across the system to help build supportive conditions for implementation, sustainable improvement and help spread the use of QI. Support the continuous development and delivery of the National Writing Programme, which includes overseeing a senior team in delivery of Wave 4 of the programme. Building and connecting QI networks in Education across Scotland to share learning and help accelerate improvement. Contributing to the strategic development of CYPIC’s work and supporting the cohesion of the CYPIC Hub. Act as the CYPIC link to policy colleagues in Learning Directorate, sharing learning and working with them and ES colleagues to help identify where QI efforts need targeted to support implementation and improvement. Responsibilities Qualifications Lead level QI certification - Scottish Improvement Leader, Institute of Healthcare Improvement, Improvement Advisor programme or equivalent. Demonstrable evidence of advanced application across the principles of the QI journey that has achieved results at scale, driving improvement at a national level.
