We are currently recruiting for a Proposal Lead, reporting to the Head of Bids and Contract administration, be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the individual tenders on behalf of the Bid Team. This role would be based at our Whitley, Yorkshire office working on a hybrid basis. What will you be doing in this role? As a Proposals Lead at Tunstall, you'll be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the individual tenders on behalf of the Bid Team, including vital organisational structure to the tender preparation stage, working with the Bid Manager and internal stakeholders to define and develop winning and compelling business and tender proposals in line with relevant timelines and procurement processes. The Ideal candidate: To be successful in this role you will have proven experience of coordination and management of individual bid processes from a bid decision to submission ensuring adherence to governance processes. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, able to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders. You will have a high attention to detail, be proactive and methodical in your approach with a working understanding of procurement regulations. Some of your key tasks will be Ongoing coordination and management of the individual bid processes from a bid decision to submission ensuring adherence to governance processes and accurate audit trail, including: Circulation to the defined team, Internal bid timeline management, including bid timeline plan, engaging and ensuring visibility of timescales to all contributors and stakeholders and delivery to these, Facilitating, coordinating and leading tender meetings including start-ups, progress reviews and storyboard sessions, Management and development of the written response - Engaging with cross-functioning teams to confirm accurate response allocations to enable all customer responses to be completed, Management and coordination of the commercials - Engaging with the relevant pricing teams to ensure the pricing is completed and approved in line with the opportunity and internal governance requirements, Coordination and compilation of the opportunity documents ready for submission. Management of workload including multiple concurrent projects, Liaising with identified key partners and customers as appropriate for the individual tenders, Define areas for improvements in tender documentation and associated supporting information gaining support and agreement from the internal stakeholders including Sales and operational teams. Key skills and experience: Previous experience of producing professional tender documents and associated sales support information (preferably to a diverse customer base including public sector organisations), Previous experience of service and/or product marketing, Ability to manage tender document submission and follow up across different product group, sales channel and geographic region, Previous experience of quantifying service/product offers and marketing in an appropriate manner, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively with a broad range of internal departments/stakeholders to define service offer, Ability to act as a flexible resource for the delivery of tender documents in a timely manner, Previous exposure to day-to-day contact with both internal and field sales teams, Demonstrable experience of driving change both cultural and procedural, Experience of bid/sales environments, Forensic approach to planning and work coordination to meet strict deadlines, Working understanding of procurement regulations.
