Position Overview: The HR Generalist for Warehousing & Logistics plays a critical role in supporting the strategic and operational HR needs of our division. This role is responsible for a variety of Human Resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, compliance, and day-to-day HR administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment across multiple locations in the region. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations: - Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. - Address employee relations issues promptly, conducting investigations as necessary and ensuring proper documentation. - Work closely with Operations Managers and Supervisors to resolve employee issues and foster a positive workplace culture. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: - Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, candidate selection, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. - Manage the onboarding process, including coordination of new hire orientation, initial training, and documentation. Training & Development: - Partner with management to identify skill gaps and recommend training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities. - Coordinate training sessions on key topics such as safety protocols, company policies, and professional development. Compliance & Policies: - Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards within the contract logistics operations. - Maintain and update employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and local regulations. - Support audits and compliance initiatives as required. Performance Management: - Support the implementation of performance management programs, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, conducting evaluations, and developing performance improvement plans. - Assist in managing disciplinary processes, documentation, and termination procedures in accordance with company policies. HR Administration: - Oversee routine HR administrative functions such as leave management, benefits administration, and employee records maintenance. - Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership to help inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, ideally within a logistics or warehousing environment. - Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (UK market in particular). - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization. - Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. - Proficiency in HRIS systems.
