Payroll Advisor
Hulme, Manchester
Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 dependant on experience
Permanent 35 hours per week
Here at One Education, we’re looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Advisor to provide an end-to-end payroll support service to our clients.
Working as part of a small but highly motivated payroll team, you’ll assist customers by providing an accurate, timely and responsive payroll support provision to customers in the education sector.
The successful candidate will have outstanding attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills. You will work well to a range of payroll deadlines by effectively managing and prioritising workloads.
Experience in the payroll sector is essential, though in-house training will be provided on specific systems, processes and education sector requirements. This will be office based for the initial training then flexible hybrid working will be available.
Requirements:
* Experienced in working in the payroll sector, providing a client-facing service.
* Fundamental understanding of payroll legislation, such as taxation, statutory deductions and HMRC reporting requirements.
* Ability to manually calculate payroll deductions.
* Able to answer queries about pay slips and net pay calculations.
* Excellent attention to detail and taking pride in a thorough approach.
* Able to audit information to ensure its accurate and up-to-date.
* Understanding of the importance of working to strict deadlines.
* Proficient in use of IT, including experience of payroll software, Excel, Word and using IT in a Windows operating environment.
