Are you a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking a dynamic and rewarding role? We are looking for a motivated individual to provide commercial expertise and lead the successful delivery of contracted work within the Southern Home Counties business unit.
Salary: £74k to £88k
Responsibilities:
1. Act as the commercial lead, supporting the delivery of projects within a geographical team.
2. Provide accurate and timely commercial reports and advice to the management team.
3. Ensure project compliance with commercial and financial targets.
4. Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors to achieve project success.
Key Tasks:
1. Deliver large-scale DfE and Design & Build (JCT D&B) projects ranging from £10m to £40m.
2. Oversee two-stage projects and manage end-to-end commercial operations.
3. Utilize company management systems such as Commercial Manager, COINS, or Sphere.
4. Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient cost and quality control.
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience in the main contracting market, ideally working on education (DfE) projects.
2. Strong knowledge of construction techniques and company management systems.
3. Proven experience in managing large projects and leading a team of surveyors.
4. HNC/Degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
5. RICS Membership is highly desirable.
