In this role, you’ll help ensure health and safety on-site, working to meet important goals that support both the company and its employees. We’re seeking candidates with experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry to join our team for the long term.
Reporting to the UK Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager your role responsibilities will include:
o Organize and conduct risk assessments and assist in the preparation of the necessary documentation.
o Perform regular safety checks to ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
o Collaborate with department managers to investigate accidents and compile information
o Ensure that all contractors possess the required documentation for review purposes.
o Facilitate safety orientation sessions for new employees and oversee compliance reporting. Manage audit documents and follow up on necessary actions.
o Support facility safety measures, including testing fire alarms, inspecting fire equipment, and coordinating mandated safety inspections.
o Conduct monthly safety inspections of equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits, along with routine site evaluations.
o Assist with compliance-related safety tasks, including fire risk assessments and equipment inspections.
o Support for health and safety initiatives throughout the organization and report any concerns to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.
o Provide guidance to employees to ensure their understanding and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
o Ensure all employees are aware of their safety responsibilities and offer assistance as needed.
o Coordinate the ordering and replenishment of personal protective equipment and first aid supplies.
o Maintain up-to-date information on the site’s Health and Safety notice boards.
o Support the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives
o Assistance with on-site training regarding Health and Safety (H&S) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs.

o Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management abilities
o Proficient in effective communication and capable of influencing others
o Advanced IT skills in the Microsoft Office suite
