Job Title: Head of Year(Non-Teaching)

Are you passionate about supporting the personal and academic development of students? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Year to join our client at in Blackpool for an immediate start. This is a non-teaching role focused on pastoral care and student welfare.
Role Overview:
As the Head of Year, you will play a crucial role in providing pastoral support and guidance to a designated year group of students. You will oversee their well-being, behaviour, and academic progress, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure each student reaches their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strong pastoral care and support for the assigned year group.
2. Monitor attendance, behaviour, and welfare of students.
3. Implement strategies to support student well-being and mental health.
4. Lead and coordinate interventions for students facing challenges.
5. Liaise with parents/carers, teachers, and external agencies as needed.
6. Organise and oversee year group activities and events.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Ability to empathise with and motivate students.
10. Organisational skills and ability to manage administrative tasks.
11. Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
