Description
Strathlothian Fire And Security Ltd is a relatively new company looking to recruit an apprentice to support the business demands. This is a great time to become part of the team as the successful apprentice will grow and develop with the company.
Strathlothian Fire And Security Ltd is keen to offer individuals the chance to secure a career within the fire and security sector. These positions will be full-time with block training release to Glasgow.
Each day can be different depending on the client and jobs that are to be completed. This will include, but is not exhaustive to, the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire and security systems.
Entry Requirements
1. Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4 or above. If you do not have this, you will be required to sit this alongside the apprenticeship.
2. 16-20 year olds only.
3. No criminal record and need to be able to pass an enhanced DBS.
4. Hold a driver's license or the commitment to gain one by the end of the apprenticeship.
Training to be Provided
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release (one week in every eight weeks). You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

Future Prospects
Once completing the apprenticeship successfully, you will become a full-time Fire & Security Engineer with a company vehicle and progression within the business.
Hours per Week: 40
Working Week: Monday-Friday (7am-5pm; times may vary)
Apprenticeship Standard: Fire emergency and security systems technician (Level 3)
