The Wildheart Foundation is a new way to help children access education that offers an inclusive, multi-sensory flexible approach. We empower children to lead their learning so they thrive both academically and emotionally. We provide highly vetted, trained and mentored therapeutic tutors who help children define and achieve their own version of success in the environment that suits them best.
Job Title: Mentor
We are currently looking for a compassionate and resourceful mentor to work with a young person for up to 10 hours per week (between 1:30pm and 5pm) in Southwater RH13 at £25-40 per hour (depending on experience). The role will require you to be highly flexible and you should possess specialist knowledge of SEND including Autism and demand avoidance, anxiety and ADHD. All applicants must have completed specialised training in pathological demand avoidance (PDA), and be passionate about deepening their knowledge and understanding by engaging in continued professional development to better support the young person. You must feel comfortable supporting the young person’s special interests - currently these include gymnastics, climbing, swimming, active play, art, cooking and baking.
