Job Title: RCA Manager / Building Surveyor Salary: From £60,000 per annum plus £5,500 car allowance Location: Midlands / North of London Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Building Surveyor with a passion for leading teams and delivering exceptional results? Main Purpose of the Role: As the RCA Manager, you will: • Lead a national team of Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) Surveyors. • Contribute to the team’s success by undertaking technical surveying and insurance-related activities. • Share your expertise to benefit clients and customers while supporting the Director of Surveying on complex and high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct property surveys and prepare RCA reports in line with RICS regulations and best practices. • Ensure all instructions comply with company procedures and legal requirements. • Manage and develop the surveying team to deliver outstanding customer care and performance. • Foster excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery. • Support professional development through CPD, including delivering training to the team. • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with the Director of Surveying on client growth initiatives. • Ensure effective communication between the client and surveying teams. • Drive innovation and capability development within the team. Essential Qualifications and Experience: • MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor with substantial technical experience. • Proven ability to manage contractors and consultants while delivering successful projects. • Sound commercial understanding of surveying practices and performance. • Expertise in the RCA process and procedures, as well as knowledge of residential property regulations, including Section 20 and CDM. • Familiarity with H&S regulations relevant to surveying, contractor management, and project delivery. Desirable Skills and Knowledge: • Experience in the insurance and property management sectors, including remediation works for fire and flood damage. • Proficiency in IT systems, including BCIS and report writing tools. • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
