The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking, practical skills, and understanding of technological processes. About the Role: Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering areas such as product design, resistant materials, electronics, and potentially graphics or textiles. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage students to explore design briefs, experiment with materials, and utilize a variety of tools and techniques. Assess student progress through project work, design portfolios, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback. Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology or a closely related field. A good understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and current technologies relevant to the secondary D&T curriculum. Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Proficiency in using relevant design software and workshop equipment.
