Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust
Are you looking for a change in career? Why not consider this opportunity to join the Central At Risk Mental State (ARMS) service for Newcastle and Gateshead.
The ARMS team works with young people between the ages of 14 and 25, who are classed as having an 'at risk mental state'. An At Risk Mental State describes a cluster of experiences that research suggests is related to an increased risk of transitioning to a first episode of psychosis without intervention.
Our team works closely with the service users and their families over a 6-month period, during this time we offer a range of therapeutic interventions to support their recovery and mental health needs, aiming to reduce the distress associated with attenuated or transient psychotic symptoms and decrease the number of transitions to psychosis.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a very supportive team, where your contribution and development are highly valued.
You will be involved in completing holistic assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Care coordination is part of your role; however, in ARMS, we aim to keep caseloads to a manageable level. This enables clinicians to focus on quality interventions and increased clinical contact, with an emphasis on recovery.
