Service Architect, Reading, hybrid based
Roc Technologies is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Service Architect. You will work directly with the CTO, playing a critical role in shaping and standardising our approach to Service Design, Technology, and Delivery.
As a Service Architect, you will discover, compose, and prescribe service solutions to help clients overcome challenges through managed and/or outsourced services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with prospects and customers at all levels, including executive-level stakeholders, to support new sales and growth opportunities.
* Present service solutions that showcase Roc’s value and competitive advantage.
* Develop and maintain Service Architecture plans for Roc’s Shared Managed Service function, Network Operations Center (NOC), and key customer base.
* Refine and create managed service pricing tools and cost models to meet and exceed gross margin targets.
* Manage Roc’s Managed Service collateral and contribute to business development initiatives.
* Identify and introduce new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance Roc’s service delivery capability.
* Drive efficiencies of scale by promoting the use of Roc’s shared managed services function and standard offerings.
* Work closely with the services team and technical consultants to ensure customer requirements are met with the appropriate technical solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
* Deep understanding of IT Managed Services, including Service Desk Outsourcing, Managed Infrastructure Services, and End User Computing Outsourcing.
* Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost modeling and driving efficiencies across Managed Service contracts.
* Proven track record of architecting successful bids for medium to large Managed Services contracts.
* At least 10 years of experience in a Service Architect/Consultancy role, showcasing clear career progression.
* Experience working with geographically dispersed teams across the UK.
* Strong understanding of ITIL-based processes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing stakeholders at the executive level.
* Effective time management, able to meet competing demands.
* Experience in onboarding new technologies and methodologies from concept to high-quality services.
* Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider.
Desirable:
* Experience working with public sector organizations, including government and defence.
* Experience in networking managed services (Aruba Central, Cisco Meraki, Juniper MIST).
* Expertise in Microsoft managed services, including Azure, infrastructure management, and M365 technologies.
* Knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and NinjaOne.
* Active Security Clearance (SC or DV).
* Experience in SOC services provision.
