Role Overview: As a Registered Nurse in our Clinical Outpatient team you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centred care and supporting our patients’ and their carers. This opportunity is ideal for those who are committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient palliative care within the service. You will carrying out all relevant forms of care, holistic assessments and procedures. These procedures include venepuncture, blood product transfusions, ascitic drainage, CVC line care and IV drug administration. Training will be provided if competencies in relevant activity not obtained. You will also have the opportunity to participate in teaching of other employees, as appropriate, including students. Contract Details Salary: £11,999 to 14,336 per year, depending on experience (Full time equivalent salary: £29,997 to £35,841 per year). Contract: Permanent, Part time Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday- Friday Location: St. Luke's Hospice Basildon Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to outpatients, ensuring safety, comfort, and wellbeing. Conduct assessments and administer treatments in accordance with medical management plan. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate coordinated and effective patient care. Provide patient and family education and support to promote wellbeing. Document and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements. About You: Ideal Qualifications and Skills Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse. Proven palliative care experience, in clinical setting is preferred. Good assessment skills and the ability to make informed clinical decisions in discussion with senior nurses. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a patient-focused approach. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
