This role is ideal for individuals passionate about aiding children who have faced trauma and adversity, providing both a challenging and rewarding work environment. Day-to-day of the role: Support the learning and development of students with complex behaviours and needs. Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver effective small group and one-to-one lessons. Help students build self-belief and become effective learners. Assist in delivering the GCSE English curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for their qualifications. Adapt to the unique needs of each child, providing tailored support to enhance their academic and personal growth. Engage actively with students to facilitate both their academic and personal development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a special school setting. In-depth knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum. Strong ability to work effectively with children who have experienced trauma. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to student support. Flexibility to start on a temporary basis with potential for a permanent opportunity.
