A&P Tyne – Burner
We are looking for a time-served, experienced Burner to join our Production team, working on a variety of exciting projects, from repairs to construction, in the commercial and military sectors.
We have a pipeline of work to keep you busy for years ahead so it's a great opportunity if you are looking for permanent work based on the Tyne.
So, what will you do?
* Burn plate and other items to a high-quality fabrication standard.
* Operate CNC Plasma, oxy-fuel and grinding machines.
* Operate quickie machines for cutting and edge preparation.
* Operate Arc Air gouging.
* Undertake dry survey requirements.
* Work in an efficient and safe manner at all times.
* Support training our apprentices and new colleagues
And what are we looking for?
* Time-served in a relevant trade with a minimum of 4 years trade experience.
* Ability to operate CNC profile cutting machines.
* Experience in Arc Air gouging
* Grinding experience
* A passion for meeting and exceeding customer requirements who efficiently with a focus quality while achieving targets
* Willingness to take on new challenges to develop competency

You must also undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before your employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
