We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Housing Performance Manager to lead a team of Housing Patch Managers in delivering top-tier tenancy management services. The ideal candidate will ensure that tenancies are managed effectively, in line with legislative requirements, while fostering a customer-centric approach to service delivery. You will drive performance improvements, lead a motivated team, and help shape a culture of professionalism and accountability.
The Role
·Lead and develop a team of Housing Patch Managers to deliver high-quality, resident-focused tenancy management.
·Ensure consistent enforcement of tenancy agreements in compliance with legislation, managing tenancies from let to re-let.
·Monitor team performance against key KPIs, focusing on areas such as rent collection, voids, and tenancy management.
·Foster early intervention strategies to prevent tenancy breakdown and promote sustainable tenancies.
·Oversee casework, ensuring consistent handling of complex issues such as anti-social behaviour, hoarding, and rent arrears.
·Coordinate with external partners and council services to manage issues impacting tenants and communities.
·Drive continuous service improvements through data management, reporting, and the adoption of digital tools.
·Ensure all activities align with the Council's vision, values, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate
·Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 qualification
·Strong knowledge of Housing Management law, particularly the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, and related legislation.
·Proven experience in managing staff within a housing environment, with a track record of service improvement.
·Ability to lead in a fast-paced, changing environment and maintain a focus on high-quality service delivery.
·Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a range of stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and Councillors.
·A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
·Exceptional leadership and motivational skills, capable of driving team performance in a high-pressure environment.
·Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to early intervention to resolve tenancy issues.
·Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle complex casework and present at court.
·High-level proficiency in IT software, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
·Flexible approach to work, including the ability to work out of hours as needed.
