The Job Purpose
This is an excellent opportunity to join an existing team that has enjoyed great success, but at a time where a new journey is just beginning. You will lead a sales team of Account Managers to achieve growth within an existing base of customers. One of the key objectives of the Account Management team is to provide exceptional service levels through the speed and quality of their work which must be maintained at a minimum and improved where required. As well as proactively reaching out to customers and drive sales opportunities.
You will work in collaboration with the Product, Risk, Credit and Business Development Teams to develop and grow the relationship with the bulk of the account base and will provide the Account Management team direction through our Business plans and Business Objectives.
The Job Role
You will manage our SMB Breadth sales team with the aim of exceeding core objectives as follows:
* Increase GP and revenue in existing customer base.
* Increase number of monthly trading customers, spend on each account and vendor spend.
* Coach and lead the team to achieve set KPI’s whilst maintaining the SLAs and quality of our responses to our customers.
* Improve our own and our customers’ inefficiencies to make our teammates’ lives easier.
* Ensure we are our customers preferred and favorite partner.
* Look after your people – ensure they earn, learn, develop, and have fun.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
* Manage the SMB Breadth team as a leader of the business.
* Achieve individual team member targets around revenue, GP and KPI’s.
* Perform regular 1-2-1 reviews with your team to understand their development goals, needs, concerns, and challenges.
* Communicate with the team individually and collectively.
* Learn and understand the Westcoast business model and processes to be the escalation point for your team, customers, and companywide.
* Lead and inspire the Internal Account Managers on activity around core KPI’s and breed a culture of success.
* Drive and motivate your team to achieve and be the best Account Management team in the channel.
* Understand the account base and demonstrate accurate account mapping, subsequent commercials, and forecasting.
* Work with the team to build a pipeline of opportunities to aid accurate forecasting to report back to the business.
* Grow share of wallet within specified vendors with our customers.
* Work in cohesion with the different departments to achieve business objectives.
* Work with Account Managers and customers to create and execute Business plan goals.
* Build business relationships with key stakeholders within Westcoast’s key vendor portfolio Apple, HPi, Lenovo, Microsoft, Dell to name a few.
* Engage and build relationships with Westcoast key stakeholders in Credit Control, Customer Services, IT and Finance.
* Work with Operations to enable accounts to run more efficiently though automation.

To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas:
* A previous track record in sales management is essential.
* Must have a passion for managing people.
* Experience of working in an IT Distributor, Managed Services Provider, Systems Integrator, Vendor, or IT Reseller highly desirable.
* Proactive, commercially minded individual with excellent communication skills.
* Able to motivate, lead and manage a team to succeed in a target-driven, high-pressure environment.
* Ability to demonstrate learned sale skills through recognised training programmes is preferred, but not essential.
* Able to communicate at all levels, articulate issues with clarity and affect change.
* Able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
* Able to challenge existing practices and make recommendations to improve.
* Ability to recognise and adapt to various communication styles.
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong business relationships.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations with confidence and professionalism.
