Role Summary: The Finance Director/CFO will provide strategic and operational leadership for all financial aspects of the company. You will play a critical role in driving the organisation’s financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting sustainable growth. This role requires a proactive leader with a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the financial services and lending landscape. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and long-term planning. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and lending-specific laws. Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and capital management to meet operational and strategic requirements. Develop funding strategies and relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, the board, and external stakeholders. Key Requirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with a strong academic background. Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior financial leader within the financial services sector (preferably lending). Experience leading strategic financial planning and managing complex financial operations. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Commercially astute with a focus on driving profitability and growth.
