About the role: BANK SEND Teaching Assistant (choose your days) Somerset January 2025 – July 2025 The Role We are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in a SEND schools supporting pupils aged between 5 – 18. Working as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of needs: SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disability) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), either 1-1 or in small groups. The Schools The Schools are based in Yeovil, Taunton and Street and provide support for Primary and Secondary aged children (5-18) who have ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) as well as non-verbal needs. They closely track the progress of students to ensure they achieve more than they ever thought possible and guarantee that there is effective and prompt support and intervention when needed.
