An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Motor Vehicle Technicians to join our ever-expanding Fleet workshop teams, working as part of Fleet Operations at North West Ambulance Service.
The current vacancy is at our Workington Workshop.

NWAS Fleet Operations sits within the wider NHS umbrella and provides the vital support service to our significantly sized ambulance fleet.
Main duties of the job
Our technicians are supported by a dedicated management team structure, ensuring our team has everything available to maximize vehicle throughput and reduce workshop delays and supply chain frustrations.
With over 1150 vehicles across the entire Fleet, each day offers variety, and the opportunity for our technicians to enjoy their working environment with likeminded people.
Enhanced payment is applicable for any weekend working.
Operational requirements for the workshops cover 365 days of the year, with opening times being 08:00am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday.

Working for our organisation
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

* City and Guilds certificate in motor vehicle technology or NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications and experience
* Good standard of education. Minimum 3 GCSE or equivalent.
* Full Driving License
