Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 5 days a week and at least 1 weekend a month. Mixture of Earlies, Lates & Long days.

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Support Assistant to join our Theatre Team at the Wellington Hospital, which has been rated "Good" by the CQC. Our theatres offer a dynamic and professional environment, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is truly unmatched. You will be working with complex surgeries and world-class surgeons.
What you will do:
* You will be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance.
* Participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain the agreed standards of care.
* Cleaning of theatre and recovery areas before and after operating sessions, also adhering to the weekly cleaning schedule.
* Stocking of cupboards and stock containers against agreed stock levels.
* Collecting and escorting the patient, and assisting with transferring the patient from trolley to table under the supervision of trained staff.
* Assisting with the safe positioning of the patient on the operating table.
* Acting as circulating person for the scrub team and within the scope of the role.
What you'll bring:
* Health Care assistant experience
* 2 years experience working in theatres as a Health Care Assistant
* Knowledge of Healthcare Computer Systems, Meditech, Microsoft, Outlook
* Knowledge of infection prevention control
* Knowledge of WHO/Safety checks in theatres (essential)
