We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Field Service Engineer to work on a permanent basis for our client who are a well-established company based in the St Helens area.
They will also consider Field Service Engineers with limited relevant experience, if you have obtained the required qualifications to work in a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning role, providing training and development for their career progression. This will be reflected in the starting salary, which will increase as your skills and experience do.
The Package and work pattern for the Field Service Engineer role:
-Salary is dependent on experience and ability to perform the role.

Key Responsibilities for the Field Service Engineer role:
-Travel throughout the UK to service, maintain and repair refrigeration and air conditioning units
-Conduct routine maintenance and urgent repairs
-Diagnose and resolve equipment issues
-Carry out service and general maintenance on various types of equipment
-Participate in on-call rota providing emergency response
-Demonstrate proactive approach to troubleshooting
-Adapt to different engineering roles as required

-Collaboration with other engineering teams

Essential Qualifications for the Field Service Engineer role:
-Valid UK driving licence
-Basic electrical knowledge
-Experience with VRV and split systems
-Ability to diagnose and repair various refrigeration units
-Willingness to undergo additional training
-Must be able to work at company site when required
Desirable Qualifications:
-3-5 years’ experience in refrigeration and air conditioning systems
-Will consider candidates with NVQ Level 3 and some role experience.
-F-Gas certification
-Air validation experience
-Previous field service engineering background
-Experience with various types of refrigeration equipment
-Additional engineering qualifications
