Contract: Full time permanent, working 37.5 hours per week, plus international travel for business.

The Role
This role will require overseas travel to your own accounts as well as supporting colleagues when required at exhibitions, to develop sales for your customers. As the newest member of our sales team, you will manage your own sales accounts as well as contribute to the development of the sales strategy across the business.
This is primarily an office-based role, however we are open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* In conjunction with the General Manager and sales team, you will produce the Annual Sales Strategy in line with the start of each financial year which will include:
* Your regions and accounts, producing a 90-day quarterly sales activity plan including travel plans.
* Identify new opportunities for growth through new distributors and OEM customers within your defined region.
* Review individual (allocated) customers purchases and look for ways to grow sales and gross profit.
* On a monthly basis report back to the General Manager on progress made against budget and Sales plan, including any remedial action to be taken.
What We’re Looking For:
As Regional Sales Manager you should be enthusiastic, tenacious and resilient. It is key that you are good at building relationships and with exceptional communication skills. Being self-motivated is essential as you will be required to travel alone after 6-12 months after joining the business. Being commercially savvy is essential with a drive to learn the industry and seek out new opportunities.
An understanding of international markets and trade would be desirable along with having strong knowledge of the Photonics Industry although this is not essential.
