What the Job Involves As an Income Collection Officer, you will manage temporary accommodation accounts, ensuring efficient collection of rent and service charges. Key responsibilities include assisting with housing benefit applications, engaging with clients at various stages of arrears, and acting as a front-line contact at our service center. You'll be tasked with referring vulnerable clients to support services, identifying accounts requiring possession action, and representing Hackney Council in legal proceedings related to possession. Additionally, you'll provide financial advice, collaborate with various departments and agencies, and uphold GDPR standards. You will also cover for absent colleagues and perform any duties as required by leadership to support the council’s goals.
