Role Summary: As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring parts and components essential to operations. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in aligning purchasing strategies with business objectives while ensuring quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance. Procurement Operations: Source and procure materials, parts, and components. Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records. Cost Management: Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost-reduction strategies effectively. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to meet procurement needs. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in procurement, ideally within manufacturing or rail sectors. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools. This is a full-time role, working five days a week on-site in Plymouth
