Graduate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant - Role Description
Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm - Earn £540 per week - Interviewing immediately
* Work with a range of students within this schools’ special educational needs provision
* Provide specialised support for students who have communication difficulties
* Also support students with cognition and learning; behavioural, emotional and social; or physical/sensory difficulties
* Plan and deliver interventions to these students to monitor pastoral and academic progress
* Through training, gain an advanced understanding of the needs and resolutions used when working with children with a range of difficulties
* Liaise with in-house educational psychologists, qualified Speech & Language therapists and other external agencies to contribute to student case studies
* Make a real IMPACT – as a Graduate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, be responsible for helping young people achieve academic and pastoral milestones
Graduate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant – Person Specification
* Person MUST be a graduate of 2:1 or higher
* Previous experience working with young people in any field either academically or pastorally
* Genuine desire to pursue a career working with young people
* Desire to learn and be proactive throughout the learning process
* Empathic person who is open to forming meaningful relationships with students
