I have an EXCITING role for an experienced care manager to join Wales's largest not-for-profit learning disabilities services. The organisation was established over 35 years and supports service users aged 18-65 to live as independently as possible. The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services within a designated area. This role involves ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support to achieve positive life outcomes, promoting a culture of engagement and participation, and managing staff effectively. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Foster a culture of engagement and participation, empowering individuals to have a strong voice and control over their care. Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and aspirations. Promote self-determination and independence. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of support staff. Provide regular supervision and support to staff members. Ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective support. Promote a culture of safeguarding and positive risk-taking. Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social services, inspectors, health professionals, landlords, and families. Represent the organisation effectively in external meetings and forums. Collaborate with other agencies and organisations to improve outcomes for individuals. Develop and manage budgets for the area, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively. Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Requirements: At least 2 year's of experience working with people with learning disabilities or with people with other support needs.
