You will be responsible for systems engineering and analysis across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to end-of-life. Working collaboratively with product line, mechanical, and software teams, you will ensure that technical requirements are met and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically proficient and commercially aware engineer with experience in electro-optics or electro-mechanics, ideally within a defence or homeland security environment. Your Role Analyse, capture and generate specifications for products and systems Provide technical support to sales and business development teams Prepare commercially astute technical proposals, reports, and documentation Identify risks in new product introduction and develop effective mitigation strategies Stay updated with the latest systems engineering technologies and best practices Undertake customer and supplier visits as required What We Are Looking For Degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, or Electronics (higher qualification preferred) Experience in systems engineering, electro-optics, or electro-mechanics Strong skills in system analysis using software tools such as MATLAB, Octave, C#, or Python Knowledge of control theory, servo systems, and GIS is advantageous Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities Understanding of defence-related environmental and EMC standards (Mil-Stds, DEF-STANs) Ability to perform FMEA analysis Security Clearance Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be eligible for SC-level security clearance.
