Position
Theatre Patient care Assistant
Location: Southfields Veterinary Specialists
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Patient Care Assistant to join our Theatre Nursing Team. This is a permanent role working 42 hours a week with 1h lunch break.
As a Theatre PCA you will work alongside 2 full time Theatre RVNs, 1 part time Theatre RVN and 2 Theatre Techs. You will work with surgeons from soft tissue, orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology and exotics.
1. Help the circulating nurse and scrub nurse in theatre.
2. Help with the maintenance and preparation of sterile supplies.
3. Help with stock maintenance and ordering equipment and supplies.
4. Infection control monitoring.
5. Work and communicate effectively between different departments and personnel.
6. Provide highest standard of care for our patients.
7. You would work a variety of shifts between 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 2:8 weekends with time in lieu the following week and a minimum of 1 bank holiday per year.
