About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a beautiful Children’s Residential home within the Staffordshire area. The home will be registered for up to 4 young people from 7- 18 years old with a background of emotional behaviour difficulties and child sexual exploitation.
Your key responsibilities as Deputy Manager:
* To support the Registered Care Manager in ensuring compliance with the company Policy and Procedures and meeting all OFSTED regulations.
* To deputise/ act up for the Registered Manager in their absence
* Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a child’s life. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
* Within this leadership role, you will not only ensure the welfare and care of each child but also give guidance and support to all residential workers.
* You will be committed to making a difference, this includes being responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas and making sure that education is supported.
* You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.
Requirements:
* Hold a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare/young people’s workforce.
* Knowledge around Children’s Homes regulations (2015), Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards
* Hold at least 4 years’ experience within a children’s residential homes and 2 years’ experience at a Senior or Team Leader level
* Hold a Full UK driving licence
