As a result, the business is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant at their Head Office in Bedfordshire. On offer: Competitive salary ️ 32 days holiday 5% company pension Hybrid working The role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will support with ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes. Key accountabilities include managing invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with payroll and tax filings. Posting and allocating payments to relevant accounts and invoice ledgers Mitigating risks of payment default Uploading and documenting invoices Raising invoices and credit notes where required. Resolving queries in a timely manner Checking and uploading PODs Processing statements on customer accounts Credit checking existing and potential customers and ensure all credit limits are current on systems (SAGE) Reporting as required Close month / end year in a timely manner. The candidate: At least 2 years experience working in a similar role with experience in generating invoices and account statements, maintaining data, and being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This fast-paced environment requires someone who is highly organised, can prioritise workload, and work effectively under pressure. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel is essential
