Attendance Administrator Job Title: Attendance Administrator Location: Secondary School, Hertfordshire Employment Type: Full-Time – Temp to perm or permanent - 37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year Start Date: May 2025 Salary: £20,282 About the Role: anzuk Education is for an experienced and committed Attendance Administrator to join an increasingly popular oversubscribed secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with attendance administration experience. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that student attendance is recorded accurately and that there are efficient and effective systems and procedures in place to deal with absence, truancy and other attendance issues. Key Responsibilities: Collate and enter registration information as required, ensuring all lesson registers are completed Be responsible for sending the daily absence alert each morning Monitor the attendance email account and telephone line contact with families regarding unexplained absences Follow up with staff any instances of non-completion or inaccuracies in registers Liaise with colleagues inside school and externally to ensure the registers are accurate and up to date Inform the Trust Senior Attendance Administrator of any holiday requests and other leaves of absence To support with other administrative duties as requested by the Attendance Officer, Trust Senior Attendance Administrator or Attendance Consultant To be fully aware of and carry out all work in line with Child Protection /Safeguarding Procedures To maintain a good working knowledge of the statutory framework and any policies and procedures relating to school attendance, child employment, child protection and special needs etc. to be able to offer informed advice to parents, school staff and others To work on initiatives which raise the awareness of the whole school community on the importance of good school attendance Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the update or be willing to apply for one at registration with anzuk
* Available for a full time role
* Minimum three months of experience working in a school in the UK
* Strong experience with school attendance
