This role sits in the small but impactful Employee Experience and Retention Team within the People Directorate.
The focus of the role is to ensure that managers and staff understand what tools and support are available to engage and retain staff and that they are used effectively. To this end, the role holder will manage a range of projects including, but not limited to: the annual NHS Staff Survey, quarterly People Pulse survey, AWP's recognition project - including the annual staff awards; and contribute to the health and wellbeing offer.
The role holder will need to enjoy networking and relationship building across the organisation at all levels, and should be willing and able to travel to our sites to engage managers and staff.
Effective communication skills are essential. The role holder must be skilled at formal report writing and confident and engaging when presenting to large and small audiences, both in person and virtually.
We are a data-led team and the role holder must be a skilled user of MS Excel, confident working with large data sets, able to effectively communicate information to others, and skilled at gathering and interpreting qualitative data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the annual cycle of the NHS Staff Survey and the quarterly People Pulse surveys.
2. Manage the AWP recognition project, including the end-to-end process of delivering the annual Staff Awards, bi-annual Celebrations of AWP Long Service, and the annual Celebration of Learning.
3. Manage the AWP Appraisal project.
4. Manage AWP's financial wellbeing offer and associated staff intranet pages.
5. Contribute to other retention projects including staff health and wellbeing.

Project Management:
1. Manage the implementation of specified projects in accordance with the particular needs of the Trust.
2. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the running of project team meetings.
3. Attend and present at Trust meetings as required, raising awareness of the project(s) and ensuring full understanding of the objectives of the project(s).
4. Co-ordinate project timetables, addressing delays in the implementation and resolving these as appropriate.
5. Undertake complex and detailed information analysis of specific projects/reports (requiring high levels of concentration).
6. Maintain project information in appropriate systems and update these regularly, providing reports to relevant parties.
7. Ensure monitoring and evaluation of changes in practice through the collection of high-quality and timely data using electronic and paper systems as required.
8. Build effective working relationships with teams involved with the project, liaising with clinical and management leadership to ensure engagement as required.
9. Respond to queries and questions raised by teams, stakeholders, and other agencies.
10. Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues externally and internally.
11. Analyse, interpret and present complex, sensitive or contentious information to large groups on topics including employee engagement activities.
12. Draft reports outlining situation, background, assessment, and recommendations to key stakeholders, providing progress reports as required.
13. Use negotiation and motivation skills to secure agreement and cooperation from key stakeholders.
14. Contribute to the review and development of existing information management systems and to the development of an integrated approach to project management.
15. Provide support, advice, and training as appropriate to other services and agencies involved in the provision of services impacted on by the project.
16. Assist in the development of Trust policies and training programmes in order to implement projects as required.
17. Responsible for maintaining a clear audit trail for the project including guidance development.
18. Ensure that you keep up to date with developments in service area relevant to the project, ensuring that your work is based on best available evidence and meets all relevant standards and requirements.
19. Attend business meetings as necessary to achieve the outcomes of the project.
20. Be aware of the Trust budget management processes and the need to make best use of financial resources available.
