To collate information and liaise with customers and the sales team, enabling the company to achieve maximum orders at maximum profit. In addition, to ensure that the business is conducted in accordance with the company's quality systems, as defined in the Quality and Procedures Manual. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This is an important role within Ocean Blocks and Aggregates, with primary responsibility to: To maintain the tender\live record, files or books. Receipt, vetting and pricing of all written enquiries (sales manager responsible for price levels). To liaise with customers and establish when tenders become live. To also record contract clients or engineers and architects. To establish successful contractors of tenders. To establish with contractors all relevant information including who will be placing the order, competition price levels of materials required, specification required, start date and delivery requirements, site contact, name and telephone number. To liaise with area representatives with information obtained from contractors. Telephone enquiries, receiving and reporting, telephone enquiry pads to be used, quotations raised and processed. Specific tasks as directed by sales manager. To prepare quotations and negotiate for orders on live enquiries (in consultation with sales manager). Monthly update of figures, tender\live orders. Liaise with sales team to identify potential new business. To promote the company image and develop good customer\company relationship. To report to sales manager on competitor activity and price levels. In consultation with sales manager, the sales co-ordinator is responsible for collating all sales market information, i.e. ABI, etc. and following these up. To establish customer's needs, delivery timings and flexibility for orders. Establish the program of that customer by day, week or indeed month. Laying off orders by sources and by hauliers. Liaison with both customers and sources as to the programmed deliveries being affected during the day and adjusting the DOC if necessary. Regular contact with the customer during the day in order to advise of potential problems or delays. Problem resolving, both with regard to haulage and source of material on a day-to day basis. The maintenance of a site contract name and telephone number. Follow up contact with site to secure next day's requirement. Establishing a preferential haulage list based on their individual performance. Locating new haulage contractors. Liaising with management on source/haulage/site problems. To identify opportunities to increase profitability and efficiency and report these to your line manager/sales person. KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB Good at building relationships, a team player, competitive, self-motivated, tenacious, positive, creative.
