Role Overview As Provider Contract Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Hospital Management and Consultant & Clinician Management teams in ensuring that Bupa has robust contracts with its’ providers, systems are up to date and that contract queries are resolved in a timely manner. The role is varied and provides periodic support for the network team and hospital portfolio teams in line with the changing demands of the department. You’ll help us make health happen by Issue communications to providers relating to networks and tenders and coordinate responses from providers including chasing of providers who have not responded. Support the Network Executives in preparing provider application portal in CRM. Support providers when responding to tenders / network application, answering queries over process and information requirements in a timely and professional manner. Identify providers that have not / are unlikely to respond or where queries cannot be adequately addressed and escalate to Network Manager and relevant provider contract manager. Take ownership of first line complaints and work within service standards to resolve them Developing effective relationships with Healthcode and all other key internal stake holder areas supporting payment integrity (e.g. Coding & rules, Policy, MI specialists, IT) Adopting a continuous improvement mindset to remove any unnecessary steps, handoffs and manual decisions in the payment Integrity contract management process, Processing of Change Orders related to Hospital and Consultant & Clinician contracts Review provider tender submissions to ensure they have been completed thoroughly, following up any omissions. Keep records of all provider network correspondence archiving on shared drive, Infosite and in project folders. Support updating of all Bupa systems necessary to manage the new networks. Actively consider and identify risks and issues as they arise and work with the wider Provider Management team to ensure they are recorded, managed and resolved Provide first line support to teams in Service by answering queries relating to provider contracts that are preventing the processing of claims and pre-authorisations. Handle inbound and outbound queries efficiently and professionally, ensuring these are managed in accordance with business processes. Ensure that all queries are recorded in Bupa query management system so that query category, status and resolution speed are accurately monitored. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role Numerate and analytical. Comfortable working data in MS Excel Well organised and effective at managing own workload and prioritising competing demands from multiple stakeholders. Rational thinker, able to spot / resolve issues and opportunities to improve operational processes. Good written and oral communication skills, explaining complex issues clearly and concisely, presenting compelling arguments / proposals using fact based evidence and research. Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and resolve conflict / issues productively. Strong team player, focussed on delivering own objectives while enabling / supporting others to deliver theirs. Comfortable using and interrogating complex enterprise management systems. Energetic, positive attitude to work, collaborative approach, gives and listens to honest feedback. Educated to A level or with relevant practical experience.
