The health centre provides a high standard of health care and welfare support for our Day and Boarding students aged 13-18yrs. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team on a fixed term basis until June 2025, with a start date in February. The role includes management of minor injuries and illness, health promotion, student emotional support and any other health advice such as sexual health, immunisations and assisting with GP clinics.
Experience & Background
Ideally you will be a registered nurse either on part 8 or 15 of the NMC register with relevant post registration experience. Knowledge and experience of the care of adolescents is essential. A&E, mental health nursing or school nursing experience is particularly desirable. Paramedic experience would also be considered.
Hours of Work
The post is for a minimum of 14 hours per week including a longer 9-7pm shift on a Wednesday, 9-1:30pm on a Monday and every other Tuesday 9-2:30pm during term time. There may be potential to cover additional hours including weekends, which attracts extra payment.
The post is fixed term and term time only until 30 June 2025.
Rate of pay
£20.50 per hour.
Pre-Appointment Checks
All candidates will undergo a Safeguarding Suitability Interview and application for an Enhanced DBS and Barred List check and be asked to provide evidence they are eligible to work in the UK, on an on-going basis, at the shortlist stage of the selection process.
