The role:
The Royal Aeronautical Society is a professional body dedicated to aerospace communities. We exist to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science, and engineering around the world.
The Communications Executive will provide support to the Communications Team through the Society's transformation period. The role will support with the planning and delivery of the Society's communications across social media, web, email campaigns and other content platforms.
Key responsibilities:
* Content Creation and Management
* Support with copywriting and proofreading for social media posts, newsletters and other content prior to distribution.
* Coordinate and plan content production for events
* Support the Digital Communications Officer
* Develop and manage cross-functional communications plans for key initiatives
* Ensure compliance with contra agreements and include relevant data in reporting.
* Produce analytics reports for senior management.
* Provide administrative support for social platforms
* Review and refine website content to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with the brand's tone of voice.
* Assess and improve customer journey and website navigation architecture to optimise user experience.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong understanding of member/user needs while maintaining a strategic approach to content.
* Design and produce email campaign
About you:
* Degree calibre with relevant communications experience
* Experience of managing an organisations social media platforms
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Knowledge of analytics and SEO
* Sound understanding of communications principles, strategies and tactics
* Able to discretely handle confidential and sensitive information
* Great communication skills and excellent relationship builder
* Flexible, collaborative, positive and proactive in approach
* Fully IT literate in Microsoft packages
* (Experience in the charity or another regulated sector is desirable)
