Location: Secondary School, Harrow
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: January 2025

Do you have experience in youth work, mentoring, or supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, this is an incredible opportunity to join our secondary school in Harrow as a Pastoral Support Worker.
Key Responsibilities
Providing one-to-one and group support for students with SEMH needs or those facing challenges in their personal or academic lives.
Building positive relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being and resilience.
Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to provide tailored support and interventions.
Monitoring and tracking the progress and behavior of vulnerable students, implementing strategies to help them succeed.
Acting as a mentor and role model, encouraging positive attitudes, self-esteem, and confidence in students.
Supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning, including attendance, behavior, and emotional challenges.
Requirements
Experience in youth work, mentoring, or supporting vulnerable children or those with SEMH needs (essential).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people.
A calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to supporting students.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications in youth work, counseling, or related fields are desirable but not essential.Benefits
