JOB SUMMARY
Prepare, follow up, and ensure that timely rotation schedules are executed, and joiners have complete and proper documentation before boarding. Source additional staff needed for increases in business. This role is available in Glasgow, Scotland.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:
* Bachelor’s degree (business or maritime preferred)
* 3 years of experience working as a crew coordinator (MUST have cruise vessel experience)
* Sea-going experience on a cruise ship (preferred)
* Knowledge of crewing in the cruise industry and STCW documentation
* Basic understanding of accounting, budgets, and OPEX reports
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
* Coordinate with Recruitment for officer and crew inductions
* Manage crew rotations and coordinate crew changes with agents and vessels
* Plan crew reliefs and communicate with seafarers and manning agencies
* Prepare and issue employment contracts and joining documents
* Support technical teams with extra crew/technician sourcing for dry docks, special projects, and ship startups
* Ensure officers have necessary flag endorsements, polar code endorsements, and Madeira tax numbers
* Process monthly payroll and review OPEX reports for variances
* Review and approve travel and manning agency invoices

A market-related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer.
