The role is as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for 32.5 hours per week. Experience of covering classes and following teacher's plans would be advantageous.
Whilst you will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher to cover for PPA or in staff absence, you will also have the opportunity to use your own initiative to organise tasks and activities; creating simple resources to support the pupil’s work as appropriate. You will work closely with the Deputy Head of School, Class Teachers, and EYFS or KS1 teams, the school’s Local SENCO, and the Trust Director of SEND, as well as working in partnership with external contacts such as specialist teachers who will offer their support and guidance.
