Job Title: CNC Operator Department: Machine Shop Location: Peterhead Position Description: The CNC Operator will operate and edit programs on the CNC Machining Centres and Lathes. On occasion may be required to carry out basic manual machining tasks. Main Roles & Responsibilities: 1 Responsible for machining of components on a range of CNC Machinery. 2 Will select and modify programs from a database and will also write programs when required. 3 Ensure QA Cards & associated paperwork is completed correctly. 4 Report any plant or equipment damage to Supervisor. 5 Advise Supervisor of any damaged tooling or tooling required. 6 Be willing to undertake extra training on manual machines. 7 Ensuring that correct programs and tooling are selected. 8 Reporting any drawing discrepancies to Supervisor. 9 Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental: 1 Responsible for ensuring that health, safety, environment, quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. 2 Responsible for the safety of others around them. 3 Ensure that Machine Shop QA Cards are completed correctly.
