Job Description
I am looking for an Industrial Microbiologist to join an innovative company dedicated to advancing the circular bioeconomy. This role focuses on converting waste into high-performance materials through industrial microbiology, working closely with experts in engineering, chemistry, and material science to develop scalable bioprocesses and impactful solutions. This role is a 18 month FTC.
What You’ll Be Doing?
1. Engineering biological systems, including DNA, peptides, enzymes, and microorganisms.
2. Cultivating and characterizing bacteria, yeasts, and fungi.
3. Developing high-throughput techniques to optimize biological systems.
4. Measuring substrate use, metabolite formation, and microbial growth kinetics.
5. Optimizing media compositions and growth conditions for industrial applications.
6. Applying aseptic techniques and computational tools for bioprocess modeling.
7. Investigating enzyme kinetics and metabolic pathways for process optimization.
8. Designing and optimizing downstream processing for industrial scalability.
9. Utilizing Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) for research documentation.
10. Conducting statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
11. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate biological systems into industrial applications.
