Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join the Acute Surgical Physiotherapy Team at Raigmore Hospital. The successful applicant will work as a Specialist Physiotherapist leading Vascular services, which includes amputee rehabilitation and intermittent claudication. This service is currently undergoing redesign. In addition, this post will support other experienced Physiotherapists in Critical Care and General Surgery.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical expertise in the assessment and management of vascular, amputee, and general surgical patients, in addition to demonstrating knowledge and skills in a critical care environment. To be successful in this role, it is essential that applicants have the ability to use their own initiative and manage their clinical caseload. Applicants should therefore have good organisational and time management skills, in addition to a proven ability to work directly with the multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will support the Team Lead Physiotherapist in the Surgical Unit with the effective day-to-day running of the Physiotherapy service. In addition, the post holder will support the professional development of rotational Band 5 Physiotherapy staff, Physiotherapy Healthcare Support Workers, and Physiotherapy students. The successful applicant will participate in the emergency duty respiratory on-call service. An active continuous professional development programme and staff appraisal systems are in operation.
