An opportunity has arisen to join the Sourcing team in Cheltenham as a Lead Commercial Analyst (Bids & Proposals). This role will be a critical part of understanding and defining the future of the Cheltenham campus, including responsibility for our Sourcing input into all Bids and Proposals for all Programs at the site. In addition, this role will look to partner with our Sourcing Commodity Leads and Cost Out team to understand our margin challenges and future opportunities, providing analytical support and direction to our strategy and direction. This role will work with Sales, Product Group, Engineering Technical Leads and Contracts to ensure the ITO (Inquiry to Order) process is executed in a timely manner from a Sourcing perspective. Liaise with the Comm Ops and programs teams to provide visibility of future bids to the Sourcing team, so we can align the sourcing organisation to support this critical business process. Proposals will typically be strategic in nature in support of new business opportunities whilst also providing support and guidance in pursuit of momentum activities. This role will be the owner for all aspects of proposal regulatory adherence with primary focus on compliant USG FAR PART 12 and 15 proposal input. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead sourcing input for all proposal activities ensuring compliance with 650.10 policy, and associated procedures. Establish, develop, and administer a tracker for current and future expected proposals to support resource planning & alignment in Sourcing to support. Coordinate with Commodity, Cost out and NPI teams to shape our future margin expansion strategy Lead engagement with Recurring Cost Analysis team and lead compliance simplification and learning opportunities with the cross-functional teams. Remove barriers and issues to successfully deliver input for on time proposals, partnering with the Comm Ops team to improve efficiency of decision making. Partner with commodity teams to challenge opportunities to optimise existing pricing based on potential future volumes. Represent Sourcing at appropriate bid reviews.
