The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and excellent attention to detail. Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential: purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, invoicing, credit control, daily banking, and/or payroll. While experience with Microsoft Dynamics Evision would be beneficial, it is not essential, and knowledge of other accountancy software such as Sage or SAP would also be suitable. The role requires a methodical and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role of an Accounts Assistant at The Casey Group Sub-Contract: Verify and set up sub-contractors, process payments, ensure correct CIS tax rates, VAT payments, and payment certificates. Handle due diligence, liaise with sub-contractors, submit monthly HMRC reports, manage payments, and maintain records. Payroll: Administer new employees on AX and Sage, process payroll, handle benefits, submit reports to HMRC and pension providers, reconcile PAYE/NI, process deductions, generate reports, and manage payroll queries. Valuations: Maintain valuation records, track non-payments, identify causes, highlight overdue balances, and ensure reconciliation with cash books. Invoicing: Raise and process invoices, apply correct tax rates, ensure timely processing, resolve queries, and liaise with clients and management. Daily Banking & Receipts: Monitor online banking, process cheque receipts, record transactions, and manage card payments via Worldpay. Cash Book: Maintain accurate cash book records, reconcile transactions, create journals, and ensure alignment with bank balances. Debtors & Credit Control: Ensure timely invoice payments, manage defaulting accounts, propose and monitor credit limits, maintain debtor records, and initiate legal proceedings if necessary. Miscellaneous: Communicate professionally with customers, manage credit applications, monitor credit reports, handle staff timesheets, and oversee vehicle allocation records.
