Job Description
This post is fixed term until 31st October .
The role of Site Monitoring Officer is to assist in the efficient and effective provision of the maintenance and repairs service to ensure the Council provides responsive, quality, value for money services which meet Customer, Statutory and Council requirements for council houses, sold properties and other social landlords.
Specifically the main purpose of this job is to:
* Ensure compliance with the Council’s Health and Safety Policy and arrangements impacting on Building Services in providing the Council’s building maintenance and repairs service.
* Monitor building improvement projects that optimises efficiency whilst providing quality out-turns which are completed on time and in budget.
Key Activities included:
* Instruct craft workers and contractors
* Monitor projects for reactive maintenance works and prepare and submit weekly progress reports.
* Ensure adherence to site drawings and contract documentation, specifications, bills, schedules, schedule of rates and build methods used by Building Services and obtain approval / permits for works etc.
