We are looking for a Court of Protection lawyer to join our caring and growing Court of Protection and Vulnerable Persons team, working alongside Head of Department, Paige Gouldthorpe, a ‘Leading Associate’ as recognised by The Legal 500.

The Role
We are looking for a confident and personable team player to work alongside an experienced Fee Earner, two Partners, and a Paralegal, specialising in advising vulnerable adults, within this busy department.
As a challenging but rewarding area of work, our team is dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for our clients, with a strong focus on professionalism, empathy, and delivering an effective and efficient service.
This role would likely suit a lawyer with at least two years PQE, or somebody with equivalent experience. We would also consider an experienced Paralegal within the Court of Protection field.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients, including Court of Protection and attorneyship matters.
* Handle a varied caseload, which may include matters relating to the Court of Protection, mental capacity, or safeguarding issues.
* Work closely with clients, families, carers, and external organisations to ensure holistic and tailored support.
* You may be required to help supervise and develop more junior members of the team, including apprentices and trainee solicitors.
* You will be asked to market the department and attend networking events.
Skills Required
* Able to manage their own caseload.
* Able to help supervise and mentor more junior members of the team.
* A strong background in Court of Protection.
* Able to work to deadlines and prioritise their own workload.
* Excellent client care skills.
* Have a full UK driving license.
* Work effectively as a team member within a busy and growing department.
